What is GDS System?

Global Distribution System and is an online system which have large network to delivers inventory and rates for hotels to travel agents and B2C web sites. GDS used for AIR, BUS and other travel segments. 

The GDS is made up of data that is collected by Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre, Worldspan and Pegasus. GDS never maintain any type of inventory and rates in our system all inventory and rates loaded by hotels.

GDS only pass through all things to end users. It’s also called automated reservation system (ARS) or computerized reservation system (CRS).

What are the hotel meal plans?

There are many meal plans in hotel world, every plan have their conditions and important things. It is necessary for every customer to know about meal plans if they are planning for long weekend.

Meal is very important part of travelling and your holidays plan. It’s also affected your financial estimate for tour plan.

All- Inclusive Plan (AI):

All inclusive plans differ from resort to resort inclusive plan means covers all meals. Included all types of drink with alcohol.

American Plan (AP):

American plan means breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included with the price of reservation. Drinks and snacks are not included in American plan. It’s also referred as Full Pension or Full Board Plan.

Modified American Plan (MAP):

The Modified American Plan (MAP) includes breakfast and either lunch or dinner. It’s also referred as Half Pension or Half Board Plan.

Continental Plan (CP):

Continental Plan breakfast is included with the room. In Continental breakfast usually coffee, Tea, juice and cold food items (baked goods, cold cuts, cheese).

Bed & Breakfast Plan (BB):

The BB Plan includes breakfast with same reservation rates.

European Plan (EP):

In European plan does not include any meals. The advantage of the European plan is that customer has more options to try a variety of hotel.

Full Board Plan:

Full Board plan means breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included with the price of reservation. Drinks and snacks are not included in Full Board plan. 

Half Board Plan:

The Half Board Plan includes breakfast and either lunch or dinner.

Family American Plan (FA): 

  

This plan offers free or discounted meals for children.

Family Plan (FP):

This Plan offers discounted meals for children.

Hotel Booking Cancellation Policy

A hotel booking cancellation policy can depend on several factors, such as the rate of the booking and the date of check-in.

No Shows Policy:

If customers do not cancel confirm reservation and do not show up, in this case credit card will be charged for the full amount of all reserved nights plus applicable taxes. That means hotel not refund any amount to customer in this case, it’s called no shows policy.

Cancellation Policy:

If customer booked hotel room and he want to cancel  due to some region in this case hotel define some cancellation rule for customer .It may be customer cancel hotel with 20 days  hotel will refund 50% booking amount to customer. Some cases 1 night change deducts from booking amount.

Amendments Policy:

Amendments made after 12 noon, 24hrs prior to the check-in date: One night’s room rate will be charged to the guest’s credit card used to guarantee the reservation. That means customer want to amendments in current booking in this case all update chargeable to customer.

Under Cancellation/Non Refundable Policy:

In this case customer cancels any booked/confirmed hotel room he will not get any amount of booking any type of circumstances. This policy generally applicable to prepaid reservations.

What is API?

What is API?

An Application Program Interface (API) is code that allows two software programs to communicate with each other.

Application: An application is designed to perform a specific function directly for the user like smart phone game, tool etc.

Program: Programming is how engineers create all the software that makes our lives so much easier.

Interface: An interface is a common boundary shared by two applications or programs that allow both to communicate with one another.

                                   

Where it is used?

An example, you are buying an item in on-line through your credit card. You will provide credit card details and submit your information. It will tell you whether your information is correct or not. To provide these results, there is lot of things in the back end.

The application will send your credit card details to a remote application which will validate your information and send the result back your application. In this process you are using API.
